Virginia’s daily jury pay could more than triple if a bill in the General Assembly becomes law. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch the bill increases circuit court trial pay from $30 to $100. Supporters say jury pay hasn’t changed for decades. If the bill becomes law it’s estimated to cost around $5 million a year. The bill is now being discussed in the Senate.
