Lancaster County closes on a 57-acre parcel which will be the site of the new middle and high school. The Rappahannock Record reports the land is near Kilmarnock between Dream Fields and the Hills Quarter subdivision. According to public records the purchase price was $485,000. The cost for the new school is now estimated at $60 million which is around $5 million more due to increased construction costs.
