The suspect charged in a Colonial Beach assault last year takes a plea deal. According to Westmoreland News Scott Stip who lives in Florida entered an Alford plea which means he did not admit to guilt but conceded he would have been convicted at trial. Prosecutors say Stip injured his wife causing a severe concussion and other facial wounds. Stip will be in jail for 3 years then on 5 years’ probation.
