School divisions have until March 1 to come up with plans for implementing Virginia’s new law making mask wearing optional. Governor Glenn Youngkin signed a bill into law after the General Assembly passed his amendments moving up the start date from July. The new law does allow Youngkin to reinstate mask mandates and other mitigation actions in case of another COVID-19 case surge.
