A Colonial Beach Police officer was fired on last Friday near the intersection of 7th Street and Route 205. According to investigators an officer was in his marked vehicle when they saw 2 individuals who were behaving suspiciously. The officer tried to talk to the pair but they ran away. When other officers arrived one of the 2 opened fire. The officer was not hurt and the shooter is still at large
