Virginia’s community college presidents are calling for major student onboarding changes to regain previous enrollment advantages. According to the Virginia Community College System about two-thirds of prospective students drop out of the admission and enrollment process before ever attending a class. The proposed changes include improving degree program information, adding enrollment navigators to help prospective students and set guaranteed response times for student inquiries.
