Virginia COVID-19 Vaccination Rate Just Over 70%

The Virginia Department of Health reports over 6 million residents are considered fully vaccinated, which means they have received both doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. That’s just over 70% of the populations. Close to 2.56 million Virginians have received a booster shot. Hospitals report most COVID-19 they are treating are in people who are unvaccinated.
