Westmoreland County Public Schools received several grants to cover facility upgrades and administrative expenses. According to Westmoreland News close to $800,000 from American Rescue Plan Act funding will be used for replacing heating and air conditioning units at Montross Middle School, and Washington District Elementary. New entrance security equipment is covered with a state grant. And a nearly $14,000 grant will go to attract bus drivers to take positions with the division.
