Bay Transit is reinstating fare collections begininng next month. According to News on the Neck the agency suspended collection at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic but officials say now that cases are dropping and with fuel costs rising they had to resume collections. Fares are unchanged from before at $2 per ride on demand responsive buses and $.50 on deviated fixed-route buses. Those who may forget to bring fare can board the bus using a one-time free ride voucher.
