College Athlete Endorsement Bill On Youngkin’s Desk

A bill allowing college athletes to sign a new name, image, and likeness deals is passed by the General Assembly. Last July the NCAA approved an interim rule to allow college athletes to seek paid endorsements. If signed by the Governor, the students would need to follow state guidelines and adhere to regulations set by their school. At least 40 other states have passed or drafted similar legislation.
