The Department of Motor Vehicles is urging St. Patrick’s Day celebrants to plan for a safe ride home before heading out on Thursday and through the weekend. The agency reports there were nearly 130 alcohol-related crashes from March 16 to March 21 last year resulting in 4 deaths and close to 70 injuries. Drivers with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher are legally considered to be driving under the influence.
