The Northumberland County Board of Supervisors passes a resolution to honor the Fairfields Volunteer Fire Department on its 75th anniversary. According to the Northumberland Echo the resolution commends the department for being an essential part of Northumberland’s first responder community. The department started with 17 members and now has nearly 40 members operating 9 vehicles. The General Assembly also passed a resolution marking the department’s milestone.
