The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Virginia is up nearly 50 cents from last week according to Triple-A. It’s just under $4 a gallon and is about a penny from topping the highest price recorded in 2008. Lancaster County’s average price is $3.97 a gallon while in Northumberland County it’s $3.88. That’s one of the lowest prices in the commonwealth.
