The Middlesex County School Board votes next week on sending its proposed 2022-2023 budget to the the Board of Supervisors. According to the Southside Sentinel a recent budget public hearing was sparsely attended and only one person spoke. The $19.8 million spending plan contains a 7% raise for teachers and staff as well as an increase for health insurance premiums. The new fiscal year starts July 1.
