Virginia State Police report the Colonial Beach man who’s been missing since before St. Patrick’s Day was found dead. The body of William Sylvester Hopewell was found during a ground search along Macedonia Road in Westmoreland County. An autopsy is being conducted. Hopewell’s death is being investigated as a homicide. Investigators say that since the 73-year-old disappeared there were multiple irregular purchases made with Hopewell’s credit and debit cards.
