The Virginia Economic Development Partnership made $6.8 in investments for data centers last year which was over 60% of all major economic investments in 2021. According to Virginia business data center construction created close to 16,000 jobs and represented $7.5 billion in economic input. According to the partnernship every data center job supports more than 4 other jobs in the commonwealth’s economy.
