A 2-car crash in Gloucester County on Monday takes the life of an 81-year-old man. Police say a driver was heading north on Route 17 when a southbound driver identified as Robert William Plummer of Gloucester turned left in front of the northbound vehicle. Plummer was airlifted to a Norfolk hospital where he died. The northbound driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators say both drivers were wearing seat belts.
