Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission executive director Lewie Lawrence says he is encouraging all commission members to talk with their local officials about applying for funding to pay for water and sewer projects. Lawrence tells the Gazette-Journal a large amount of federal infrastructure funding will be available by the end of june that will be split between the state departments of health and environmental quality. Localities can apply to those agencies for grants.
