Medical Marijuana Purchasers No Longer Required To Register First

It will soon be easier for Virginians to get medical marijuana under a bill signed into law this week. The measure eliminates the requirement to register with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy to buy medical cannabis products from approved sellers in the commonwealth. Officials say there are around 8,000 applications pending for medical marijuana purchasing permits which require a 60-day waiting period. The registration requirement ends July 1.
