The Mid-County Volunteer Rescue Squad is holding its 35th anniversary celebration on April 16 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the squad building on Northumberland Highway in Heathsville. According to the Rappahannock Record the squad primarily responds to a region extending from Coan Stage Road to Horsehead Waste Facility which is,a population of about 3,500 citizens. Squad members range in age from from 18 to over 80 with 3 members who were part of the original squal.
