One person is killed in a Tuesday morning fire that broke out on Irvington Road in Kilmarnock. According to CBS 6 the body was found in a downstairs studio apartment. It took firefighters from all 3 Lancaster County departments and one Northumberland County department several hours to get the blaze under control and heavy smoke was seen several blocks away. 7 apartments and 3 businesses were destroyed. The cause is under investigation.
