The results of an independent review from Virginia’s response to the Jan 3. snowstorm are now out. The study conducted by a non-profit research and analysis organization determined why the roads got so bad so quickly and how the response could have been better. It determined that officials need to better understand the challenges of a major weather incident, plan for large-scale closures and improve public messaging.
