A proposed Tractor Supply store to be built on the site of the former Rappahannock Central Elementary School will not be proceeding after the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors denied a potential rezoning of the property. According to the Southside Sentinel 2 supervisors voiced concern that the old RCE auditorium and cafeteria had historical significance to the Black community. Tractor Supply is being offered other locations to build the store.
