Watch Out For Rabid Animals

Middlesex County’s animal control officer is warning residents to stay away from animals acting strangely as they could have rabies. According to the Southside Sentinel Roy Kime appeared at a recent Urbanna Town Council meeting and noted that there were several raccoon sightings last month where the animals were behaving oddly. Kime said they were not tested for rabies because there was no human or other animal contact. Pet owners should make sure their pet’s rabies vaccinations are current.
