A ribbon cutting recently took place for a new hiking trail at Cooks Corner. According to the Southside Sentinel the Middlesex County Heritage Trail features two walking bridges that span streams. While the trail is complete work continues on installing signage to tell Cooks Corner’s story of a community where Black ownership of commerce thrived during the day of segregation. The idea of a Heritage Trail was conceived in 2019.
