More Virginians Lack Broadband Access Than First Thought

Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s office finds the number of Virginians without high-speed internet access is higher than originally thought. According to CBS6 there were 223,000 homes and businesses unconnected in 2021 and former Gov. Ralph Northam committed to have all connected by 2024. Youngkin says he is optimistic they could still complete the job by then despite the additional unserved locations. Policyadvisor.com ranked Virginia as 8th in the nation for best internet access.
