The Northern Neck Master Gardeners begins its Shoreline Evaluation Program. Personnel will visit waterfront properties to evaluate sites for problems related to erosion and stormwater runoff then research solutions, write reports for homeowners and provide follow-up assistance and support. The program has been operating since 2012. Program team members recently visited the Living Shoreline project at the Tides Inn in Irvington. which consists of around 18,000 square feet of living shoreline provides erosion protection and runoff control.
