The Rappahannock Community College Educational Foundation holds its 18th annual Preakness Party on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kennersley on the Coan River The event coinciding with the running of the Preakness Stakes will feature cocktails & hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions and a most audacious hat contest. Proceeds support the RCC scholarship program that provides more than $500,000 annually in awards to students, as well as other program needs not funded through state allocations.
