Progress is reported in the General Assembly’s work to pass a state budget. According to WDBJ a delegate says the House and Senate negotiations are getting close to an agreement. The two chambers had a $3 billion difference in their spending plans when the 2022 session ended in March and a special session didn’t bring those differences any closer. The budget was due last month.
