Essex County Sheriff “Arnie” Holmes announces the department created a road cleanup program where those sentenced to community service will be assigned to the “Sheriff’s Road Crew” to pick up trash. Individuals are supervised by a deputy there will be a sign posted on each end of the assigned road stating “CLEAN UP CREW WORKING” This program started Wednesday on Fernlea Road and continued yesterday on Battery Road.
