A fire in Hayes results in the death of an individual. Police say it happened Monday at a home in the 1300 block of Maple St. and crews from Abingdon Volunteer Fire & Rescue found the unresponsive individual inside the home. The victim’s name is withheld pending appropriate notifications being made to family. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
