Acting Virginia Lottery director Kelly Gee now has the job on a permanent basis. Last week Gee’s interim designation was removed by Gov. Glenn Youngkin. She had been acting director since January. Gee started with the commonwealth in 2018 initially serving as manager of government relations, where she was responsible for managing legislative outreach efforts. The lottery oversees online sports betting and also issues casino licenses for permanent and temporary resorts.
