Gloucester & Mathews Broadband Installation Proceeding

Internet provider Open Broadband reports work is proceeding in Gloucester and Mathews counties even with the supply chain issues that has slowed down equipment deliveries nationwide. Officials tell the Gazette-Journal crews are outfitting towers with antennas, receivers, and other new technology to help meet distance and speed goals for the internet service. Grants from the Virginia Telecommunication Initiative are helping to pay for the deployment.
