Lancaster County BOS Adopts Budget & Tax Rate

The Lancaster County board of supervisors unanimously approved the fiscal year 2023 budget at its May 26 meeting. According to the Rappahannock Record lawmakers approved the $44.3 million spending plan and a $13 million capital improvement budget which provides $8 million for the new middle/high school project and $3.2 million for a first responder digital radio upgrade to improve interoperability. The board kept real estate tax rates unchanged at $0.63 per $100 of assessed value.
