Medical Marijuana Purchasers Will Soon Not Have To Register First

New medical marijuana regulations in Virginia take effect July 1. One change is that patients will no longer need a Virginia medical marijuana card at state-licensed dispensaries. The only needed documentation is a medical cannabis certificate from a licensed doctor. Under the old regulations it would take months to get the card from the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. The General Assembly approved the change during the 2022 session.
