The Northumberland County School Board gets the green light to build a new facility to house athletics, STEM programs and the Junior ROTC program. The Rappahannock Record reports the county board of supervisors approved a fiscal year 2021-22 budget amendment earlier this month after months of discussions. Most of the building’s construction costs are covered by several federal grants created during the pandemic. A construction start date has not been set.
