Virginia now officially has a new 2-year budget after Governor Glenn Youngkin signed it on Tuesday. The spending plan provides around a billion dollars in tax relief for Virginia families and increases education spending to the largest level in history. The budget also includes funding for additional school resource officers and violence protection programs. What didn’t make the cut is a gas tax suspension which Youngkin had pushed for.
