Today the Virginia Department of Emergency Management in partnership with Dominion Energy will test the Wireless Emergency Alerts infrastructure. There will be 4 tests taking place between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 2 tests from each of Virginia’s nuclear power stations. If you opted-in to receive the alerts and have a specially-configured phone you will see a message that says: “This is a Wireless Emergency Alert Test. No actions are required.”
