Middlesex Countywill be getting additional resources for creek dredging. According to the Southside Sentinel the General Assembly approved the allocation of $5 million to the Virginia Port Authority specifically to go towards “local shovel-ready shallow-draft” creek dredging projects in Middlesex, Gloucester, Mathews and 2 other ounties. The goal is to enable regional entities like the Middle Peninsula Public Access Authority to purchase its own dredge equipment.
