The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is again encouraging mask wearing as about a third of the country is at a high COVID-19 transmission level. More than 100,000 new cases have been reported every day over the past two weeks, but officials say that number could actually be higher as the data may not include cases from at-home test kits. Lancaster and Northumberland Counties are at a high transmission level according to the CDC.
