Tappahannock Fire Damage Estimated At $2M

Tappahannock Fire Chief Paul Richardson says the damage estimate from last Friday’s Prince Street fire is at $2 million. Richardson tells 8 News three buildings were reduced to ruins, and three others had been partially damaged. No injuries were reported but Richardson said 4 firefighters suffered heat exhaustion and were sent to VCU Medical Center in Richmond for treatment. The fire started in a furniture store and according to an employee it was in a second-floor area.
