Urbanna’s recently-opened DMV Select office has yet to turn a profit and one town official says it may be several months before it becomes a money maker. According to the Southside Sentinel the office lost $25,000 between its February opening and the fiscal year that ended in June. Town Councilor Bill Goldsmith says they expect the office will be a net loss for the coming year. Mayor Barbara Hartley says their expectation was that it would take 2 years for it to be profitable.
