The White Stone Town Council voted unanimously to amend the town’s flood plain ordinance following a public hearing. According to the Rappahannock Record the hearing was over in less than a minute because no members of the public were there to speak. The town’s flood plain ordinance was last updated in 2014, according to Frere. The flood maps have recently been updated for the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula.
