Governor Glenn Youngkin orders flags
at state buildings, local buildings, and grounds in the Commonwealth be lowered to half-staff today in memory of former Senator Jane Woods who died last month at the age of 75. Woods served in the Senate from 1992 to 2000 after previously representing the 37th district in the House of Delegates. The Republican also was Virginia Secretary of Health and Human Resources from 2002 until 2006.
