The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will hold two public hearings during its regular August meeting at 6:00 p.m. next Tuesday in the historic courthouse. According to the Gazette-Journal one hearing will be on increases in the county’s current adopted budget which exceed 1% of the original budget total. The other public hearing will be on a proposed noise ordinance which was revised to address only loud music and not other sources.
