Northumberland County residents expressed concerns over short-term rental properties and commercial tent campsites at a recent Planning Commission meeting. According to the Rappahannock Record a Chesapeake Beach Estates Civic Club representative told the commission short term rental operators in the subdivision advertise that club amenities are included although that is not allowed. The commercial tent camping complaint is about residential properties rented to campers much like short term rental housing.
