Mathews High School 2022 graduate Cameron Stearns is the winner of the inaugural Gwynn’s Island Civic League Foundation scholarship. According to the Gazette-Journal Stearns received a check for $1,000 last week which will go toward his education at George Mason University where he’ll be majoring in mechanical engineering this fall. The league organized the Foundation this past January.
