Town of Urbanna officials are working on ways to finance the construction of a new community swimming pool and they are asking a Middlesex County Circuit Court judge to determine if a loan can be made from the “Charles Wellington Taber Fund”. According to the Southside Sentinel lawmakers want to borrow $500,000 from the fund to help build the pool which is projected to cost $800,000. The town also plans to apply for a grant that could pay for half of the pool’s cost.
