The Woodville Rosenwald School Foundation receives a $75,000 matching grant from the Cook Foundation for the continued renovation of the school. Cook Foundation Founder and Chair Adrianne Joseph tells the Gazette-Journal the school is not only a historic site, but with the leadership of the Woodville Rosenwald Foundation, it will again become a cultural center in Gloucester. The school was one of 6 built by then Sears, Roebuck and Company CEO Julius Rosenwald.
