The Kilmarnock Town Council allocates funding for improvements at two parks. According to the Rappahannock Record ccouncil member Mike Bedell who chairs the streets/sidewalks/playgrounds committee recently presented playground upgrade recommendations including a new package playground set at Joe Curry Park plus two spiral climbing structures at Town Centre Park. Bedell said the vendor for the proposed equipment, Cunningham Recreation, offered a grant and discounted price for the equipment with the cost to the town totaling just over $39,000.
